Share knowledge, learn survival skills and uncover how to get rescued.

About

Teams have been marooned on an island. To escape, they must locate and notify a passing ship. In the meanwhile, they must adapt to island life in order to live. Island Survivor is an atypical team-building exercise. Participants join the activity using your preferred conferencing app and our web- or app-based program.

The island has nine distinct zones. In each zone, participants face a series of trials that concentrate on various areas of island survival, such as water, weather, first aid, shelter construction, and signaling. Items that have washed ashore on the coast will aid them in overcoming the obstacles. Successfully completing the trials will equip them with crucial survival abilities.

Despite being in isolated regions, there are creative problems that need participants to utilize their imagination and inventiveness to find answers.

Teams must have sufficient understanding of every area in order to survive. The longer they remain in a zone, the less time they will have to acquire information that will aid them in determining how they will be freed. Insufficient time will prevent them from acquiring the essential information they need. Once a player has left a zone, they cannot return. The winning rescue team is the one with the most points.

Outcomes of Learning

To live on the island, teams must devise and execute a plan with dexterity. Knowing when to transition to the next zone and when to stay needs both active communication and consensual decision making. Remote teams like learning how to study together while acquiring genuine survival skills. Time and budget constraints put team chemistry to the test, requiring them to seek for opportunities. Each zone permits the assignment of responsibilities to certain team members, allowing them to play to their strengths for the team's general advantage. Island Survivor is adaptable in its approach and may be developed for a one-hour session or a three-hour team-building exercise.
